The Dangerous Summer

The Dangerous Summer is an alternative rock band from Ellicott City, Maryland. The band independently released the five song EP There Is No Such Thing as Science, which drew the attention of Hopeless Records in 2007. They then re-released their debut EP under a new name, If You Could Only Keep Me Alive, with new songs included. The band's debut studio album, Reach for the Sun, was released on May 5, 2009.

The Butterfly Effect

There have been at least three bands called The Butterfly Effect: 1; A popular live Australian project (The majority of the images and music here) 2; A Swedish 90's Electronic Band, and 3; a Thai Rock/indie band
There has also been a fourth, from Canada, who has a song traveling around called "an ultraviolet apology'.

MUTEMATH

MUTEMATH is an band which formed in New Orleans, LA, United States in 2003. They consist of Paul Meany (vocals, keytar, keyboards, samples), Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (bass, percussion), Darren King (drums, samples), and Todd Gummerman (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Since MUTEMATH released its first EP in late 2004 and hit the road in 2005, their inherent nature has challenged limitations and expanded parameters.

Johnny Headband

The brothers Thompson (from here on out: Chad & Keith) came up with the concept for Johnny Headband in the cold-water flat they shared right after being freshly spat out of college. The idea was sparked from a spirited “what do we do now?!” conversation. Chad had an interest in recording & visual arts, Keith was into film & video, and both deeply loved tearing off their shirts while playing tennis-racket guitar in front of their hallway mirror. The duo began to transform their living space into a makeshift performance venue that included both musical & visual elements.

Florence + The Machine

Florence And The Machine (printed on CD pressings and tagged on iTunes as Florence + The Machine) is the recording name of Florence Welch and a collaboration of other artists who provide backing music for her voice. Florence is an art- college dropout from Camberwell, London, who was discovered singing Motown covers in a nightclub toilet, drunk. Musically Florence and the Machine's sound is generally referred to as soul inspired indie rock.

The Rasmus

The Rasmus is a rock band from Finland. The Rasmus formed at the end of the band members schooling and were initially known as Rasmus. They recorded their first single, "1st", released independently through Teja Kotilainen. Records in late 1995 before signing with Warner Music Finland to release their first album, Peep, when the band members were only aged 16. It went gold as the band played over 100 shows in Finland and Estonia.

Wheatus

Wheatus is a rock band from Northport, New York formed by Brendan Brown (vocals, guitar) in 1998. After writing a few songs, Brown enlisted his brother Peter Brown (drums) and Rich Ligey (bass) to record a demo. In 1999 the band signed with Columbia Records and released their debut album, Wheatus, the following year. This album contained the bands first, and so far biggest, hit, Teenage Dirtbag (from the movie Loser).

Athletics

Athletics is an Ambient/Indie Rock band that formed in the fall of 2008 in Oneonta, NY. The band started when Garrett Yaeger and John Cannon left The Cast Before The Break. Garrett started Athletics as a solo project but it quickly became a full band endeavor when he enlisted John Cannon on drums, Howie Cohen on guitar and vocals, Jimmy Boyce on guitar, and Andrew Notaro on bass. John Luby joined the lineup filling in for shows on bass and later became the permanent bassist, replacing Andrew.

VJ. DENKI-MAN LM.C was founded by Maya in Tokyo,Japan , a support guitarist for musician Miyavi in the support band Ishihara Gundan (Ishihara being Miyavi's real last name, Gundan means 'brigade' or 'army' in Japanese) and a guitarist in his own band, Sinners. While still with Miyavi, maya and other support members also played live shows as LM.

Horrors

The Horrors from Cedar Rapids, Iowa formed in the early 00's. They are a bass-less trio Garage Rock Revival band that exhibit a droned out punk inundated with reverb and distortion. They let out a self titled album in 2000 on In the Red Records.
