DORSET CHOIRS GET HOOKED ON CLASSICS FOR BIC CLASSICAL SPECTACULAR

Local Orlando Singers and Funky Little Choir are invited to perform live at BIC’s Hooked On Classics concert

100+ performers live on stage celebrating 30 years of the multi-million selling album series.

The magic of the multi million selling Hooked On Classics will be recreated live in concert at the BIC Windsor Hall on Thursday 22nd December and the show will also feature performances from two local choirs.

The Orlando Singers and Funky Little Choir’s Children’s section were choosen by Orchestra Leader and Louis Clark to provide vocal backing for a number of the famous Hooked On Classics tracks.

David Everitt of Orlando Singers said:
“I'm delighted that The Orlando Singers are taking part in Hooked on Classics. I remember as a child enjoying the original records and it's amazing, 30 years on, to be involved in this fantastic concert. It's a great opportunity for the choir to be part of the Hooked on Classics experience.”

Sandie Elkins said:
“The Childrens section are really excited about singing at this event, this is the first time that they will have performed with a large orchestra. 30 8-12 year olds will be in stage singing some Christmas classics. It will be an honour to sing with such a professional event.”

The legendary Louis Clark will be conducting the English Pops Orchestra, and with over 100 people on the BIC stage it will be one of the largest number of performers the Bournemouth venue has seen.

Hooked On Classics sold over 13 million units worldwide, making it one of the most successful album series of the last 30 years, and this new live show is getting the people of Bournemouth hooked once more.
