Musicosity comes to Dorset
Musicians from all over Dorset have been invited to attend a meeting at Dorset Music Forum HQ in Boscombe on Tuesday 24th August to find out more about the Musicosity project.
The meeting was set up to discuss Musicosity and explore ideas for some pilots in Bournemouth to get artists working together on boosting audience attendances.
Said Chris Jenkins, co-founder of DMF and Musicosity; “Musicosity was set-up to achieve the following objectives:
- Provide venues & promoters with better information about artists & their audiences to help make more informed programming decisions ... e.g. who to book for gigs, who to offer tour support slots and other live opportunities.
- Provide better communication tools for artists to engage and build audiences
- To help consumers discover more live music and reward loyalty
We need artists to get involved with the project, take part in pilots and collaborate on live shows and help us make the project a success. We look forward to working with you.”
The format will be a short presentation and then a Q&A session, followed by some drinks and nibbles to help get feedback. Artists interested in attending should email Hannah@DorsetMusic.com.
