JADED SUN & AJENDA
THE DIAMOND ROCK CLUB
SATURDAY 10TH APRIL
On Saturday 10TH April, JADED SUN make a welcome return to The Diamond Rock Club.
JADED SUN who are from Dublin, have recently released their debut album GYPSY TRIP.
The band formed in late 2003 and have spent the last few years honing their sound and songs, playing live in pubs and clubs all round Ireland as well as sharing bigger stages with the likes of BON JOVI and BLACK STONE CHERRY.
Here is a few press quotes about the album :-
"The best debut album I've ever heard" (Nicky Horne on Planet Rock)
'Gypsy Trip' is the stunning debut album from Irish classic hard rock band Jaded Sun. This sleazy blues drenched album was released on 28th March on Sian Records. Recorded in LA's The Mousehouse Studios, under the supervision of rock producer Richie Mouser (Weezer, Dream Theatre), co-production in the hands of Jimmy Coup (former guitarist with Andrew WK) and mastered by Robert Vosgien (Lenny Kravitz, Bush, Goo Goo Dolls etc...) in Capitol Records CA.
Producer Richie Mouser states "We wanted to produce a rock album that feels fresh and exciting without loosing the band's distinct classic rock sound." adding, "What we've achieved is a very mature debut album". He's not wrong. 'Gypsy Trip' is a thunderous, powerful, guitar driven, bluesy hard rock album which bounds from the speakers with all the exuberance of a 7 week old bull terrier puppy.
"The newest messiah's of rock n' roll" (All Access Magazine, USA)
"This album is stunning" (Live For Metal, UK)
"Jaded Sun are a band that in a few years, their album will be viewed as comparable to the likes of "Dark Side Of The Moon, it is that good"! Nicky Horne on Planet Rock (in the UK)
"I haven't been excited about a rock album as I have been about this one" (Roddie Cleere on WLRFM)
"this is an album of top notch blues based hard rock turn it up and enjoy". 5/5 (Get Ready To Rock, UK)
"Assuming we actually get a summer this year, Jaded Sun ought to be part of the sound track in a very big way." 5/5 (Classic Rock Magazine)
Support on the night comes from top local band AJENDA who have played The Diamond a few times before, most recently with ex MAMAS BOYS guitarist, PAT McMANUS.
