Bloodguard has existed in varying forms since 2003. They create music as a melodic death/black/thrash hybrid, with progressive tendencies, a mix of clean and harsh vocal styles and a rejection of standard pop song-structures. Gigs around the UK, opening for major players such as Hypocrisy, Swallow The Sun, Insomnium, have allowed them to refine their sound and artistic direction. In 2010 their debut album will be released, having been written, funded and recorded/produced entirely by the band themselves.
