Aura Noir
Aura Noir is a thrash/black metal act from Norway. Their style tends more toward "classic"/early BM. Originating as a duet of multi-instrumentalists, Apollyon and Aggressor, Aura Noir grew into a full-scale band when Blasphemer of Mayhem joined their cause.
Over the time, the band's recordings featured several notable guests, including Fenriz of Darkthrone on vocals. Soon after releasing "The Merciless" (2004) on Darkthrone's label Tyrant Syndicate, Aggressor got into an accident (fell from the roof of a four-story building in Oslo), which left his lower half temporarily paralyzed.
Code
There are a number of bands that have the name Code. 1. An experimental Black Metal band featuring members from England and Norway. The current line-up consists of Aort (guitar), Kvohst (vocals) and Viper (bass/backing vocals), with Vooren (drums) and Andras (guitar) as live members. So far they have released two albums: 2005's critically acclaimed Nouveau Gloaming, and Resplendent Grotesque in June 2009. Also known as <code>.
Wolves In the Throne Room
During the Summer of 2002 at an Earth First rendezvous in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, guitarist Nathan Weaver was inspired to create a band that merged a Cascadian eco-spiritual awareness with the misanthropic Norwegian eruptions of the 90's. The band envisioned would strive to create a mythic space where artist and listener alike could strip away the mindset of the mundane to reveal a more ancient and transcendent consciousness. The mysterious and wild energies of the untrammeled forests of the Northwest would be channeled into sonic form.
Wodensthrone
Wodensthrone was formed in Winterfylleð of 2005, in the Sundered Lands of North Eastern England, by founding members Brunwulf, Wildeþrýð, Gerádwine, and Hréowsian. In these formative days, the clan’s sound was raw and primitive, but still hinted at a sense of sorrow, with lyrics focusing on the darker aspects of England’s history. However, by Eostremonað of 2006, the clan’s music had developed both technically and melodically, and so Æðelwalh was recruited on synths.
Funeral Throne
Funeral Throne are a chaotic Black Metal band from the UK. A trio consisting of guitarist and vocalist Saturnius, bassist and backing vocals Morgul and drummer Athrial. Labelmates with Gorgoroth side-project Jotunspor on Satanas Rex (offshoot of the popular Industrial/Black Ambient label Cold Spring). Their debut album Nihil Sine Diabolvs (2008)showcases their hard-edged Black Metal stylings and punk-influenced bite as an act.
Evil Scarecrow
Evil Scarecrow are a Parody Metal band from Nottingham, England. Their current line up is the 4th generation of crows since the band started out life in Boston, Lincolnshire at the turn of the millennium, previous line ups included Frenzy G. Spinesnap on the drums, Nemesis on bass and Hymen the Unbreakable on Keyboards. Papa Bongo distinguishes himself by having played Keyboards, Bass and Drums for the band during their metamorphosis. Revolter
There are several bands named Revolter: 1. An industrial metal band from Austria that disbanded after one album, Datamerica, released in 1996. 2. A black metal band from Iceland. 3. A heavy rock quartet from Lancashire.Their music features heavy hard hitting detuned guitars,with melodic vocals and harmonies. 4. Independent artist.
Windrider
Windrider is the creation of 18 year old Elliot Vernon from Yorkshire, England. Although principally the keyboard player of Ravenage, he is also a guitarist which lead him to write his own music. Majorly influenced by epic folk metal bands such as Equilibrium, Moonsorrow and Falkenbach, the lyrics are based on things such as Norse Mythology and the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. Celtachor
Celtachor began in the early months of 2007 with Stephen Roche and David Quinn. A year of writing the first demo was plagued with problems and it was never to see the light of day. The band take its numerous influences from black, doom, and folk metal, The Main focus was to bring the Mythology of the Irish saga’s to life from the grief of the Son’s of Tuireann to the Life and Death of Cu Chulainn, The band see themselves as the narrators of the legends of the ancient times of Eire.
Union
There are multiple artists with this name: 1. Union is a hard rock group formed in 1996 featuring lead vocalist John Corabi (ex-Motley Crue, The Scream), guitarist Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS), bassist Jamie Hunting, and drummer Brent Fitz. Union released two studio albums, Union and The Blue Room, as well as a live album, Union Live in the Galaxy, and toured throughout the USA and Europe. In 2005, the group played together for the first time in about 3 years with two live shows in Japan.
