* Contact Booking Agent to check availability of an specific Artist
o Or enquiry about general touring plans for artists on their roster
* Contact relevant Venue to check availability. Get a selection of dates
* Complete a budget on a spreadsheet.
o Include ALL costings and be realisitic.
o If you are co-promoting with Musicosity, send costings to management
* Submit first offer to the agent
o Date, venue, fee (inc % if appropriate), available rider
* Negotiate terms
* Confirm event
* Write to the venue to confirm full details
o Template available from Musicosity
* Add event details on Musicosity.com
o This is an opportunity to check event details
o Add video content to Artist profile
* Send event details to ticket agencies.
o Ticketweb / See / WeGotTickets / Ticketmaster
o Confirm onsale date
* Write a short press release announcing full show details
o Template available from Musicosity
* Distribute to local press and media
* Produce posters and other print
o Template available from Musicosity
* Print leaflets and posters
* Distribute print to local shops, offices and venues
* Online & Social networks
o Add event and press release to appropriate social networks
* Check and return Contracts to agent
o Check rider and payment requests.
o (this may have been dealt with earlier in the process)
o Pay deposit if appropriate. Note, smaller shows don’t normally require deposits
* Emails and Post
o Ask venue to send direct email to previous bookers. Encourage them to track email and offline responses
* Write a blog on Musicosity.com
* Start a guestlist
o Guests must register on Musicosity.
